Michael Pitts, Cornerstone Church: Creating a Kingdom Culture

Pastor Michael Pitts delivered a series of messages on City Transformation and Breaking the Glass Ceiling, which I enjoyed very much.

He gave 10 points about establishing a kingdom culture that the people of Cornerstone Church adhere to in their congregation.

I think every church would benefit from an established, concise, and well thought out vision. Sadly few churches of any denomination have an articulated vision for their church members to follow and live for. Hence the many dead religious groups throughout our nation. Thankfully however God is releasing present truth through men as Michael Pitts and raising the standard to bring reformation to the house of the Lord.

Here are the 10 principles for Cornerstone Church's kingdom culture.

1. Forward thinking, sharp, innovative, ahead of the curve, competitive in the marketplace of ideas.

2. Embracing divine manifestation without weirdness. Healing, deliverance and prosperity are vital parts of the gospel of Jesus Christ. However you do not have to be weird or socially aloof to be blessed by God.

3. Punctuality is the virtue of princes and absolutely necessary before entering into any promotion.

4. Participatory services. God's people should say something, be alive, actively learning, listening, wherewith the student is as active as the teacher.

5. A culture of acceptance that releases freedom. We fight legalism, resist racism, do not meddle with denominationalism and mind our own business. Anybody can come and will be wholeheartedly welcomed.

6. A culture that embraces order and resists chaos. God is a God of order. When you get saved in Christ you should not lose your sense. Let there be decency and order in God's house.

7. Increase with integrity. Success without excess. Working church members who are NOT Christian mooches, gospel get-overs without balance.

8. Generationally minded saints not just here for a season, but having a mindset to arise and possess the land!

9. Identifiable leadership - no usurping of authority or self-appointment. Leadership should be designated, acknowledged and recognizable. Pastors are visible on the platform, as are the other ministry of helps which are color coordinated.

10. Ministering members. Every church member is a minister. Every joint must supply as we all have something to give and contribute.

With such a people wholly committed, consecrated and ready to work for the glory of God any city can be transformed. This is our time church. Let us therefore arise and shine!
